"Coming Together: Making a Difference"

What is The Big Event (TBE)?

TBE is a National Event organised and coordinated by Campus Ministry in collaboration with Campus Life, ACUNSA and the Student Associations. Students and Staff come together from all six campuses of ACU National for a four day conference. TBE is a nation-wide ACU Student Event that is designed to engage students in social and conversational activities around personal, social justice, leadership, professional and spiritual issues.

What is the aim of TBE?

  1. To develop and enhance a nationwide ACU National Student Community
  2. To engage in social and conversational activities around personal, social, leadership, professional and spiritual issues.
  3. To inspire participants, as a result of their experiences to actively engage in their local campus and communities.

What happens on TBE?

TBE is essentially a forum. Students come together from all six campuses to participate in workshops, listen to inspiring key-note speakers and, discuss and debate issues such as student poverty, asylum seekers or the Christian faith etc. Each time, the Event has a different central theme.

The event has been held twice before:
