Portfolios

Office Manager

This portfolio is responsible for optimising the Student Association office space. This is the backbone of the Student Association. They organise and coordinate office operations and procedures to ensure the Representatives can work efficiently and effectively.

Media & Communications

This portfolio is primarily concerned with both print and digital communications between the Student Association and students. This includes Blackboard, digital billboards, posters, banners, flyers, forms, and merchandising.

Sport & Recreation

One of the most active portfolios, this is concerned with both on and off campus sporting events. Particularly the Australian University Games (AUGs) and Eastern University Games (EUGs). This portfolio coordinates teams and individuals in clubs to compete. This can occur between individuals, faculties (e.g. Nursing vs. Business), campuses (e.g. Strathfield vs. North Sydney), and universities (e.g. ACU National vs. Macquarie).

Social Justice

One of the most important portfolios, this is responsible for encouraging student involvement in not for profit organisations and fundraising events for charities. This includes the Worlds Greatest Shave for the Leukaemia Foundation which the Student Association has become very well known for.

International Students

Representing approximately half the total student population at North Sydney, this portfolio is responsible for dedicated events and activities for international students. It is concerned with bringing together the student community and celebrating its diversity.

Social

One of the most favourite portfolios, this is concerned with both on and off campus social events. The major events include the Harbour Cruise Party and the End of Year Ball. Others include BBQs, End of Semester Parties; day trips; camping; competitions for trivia, poker, pool, ping pong, Nintendo Wii; and many more. These are all aimed at bringing all students together to give them the most fun time at uni possible.

Membership

The biggest responsibility for the Student Association is Membership. This portfolio is dedicated to managing the membership database and making sure student members are receiving the most out of their contributions.
